Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are two of the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League. MI have won the title five times, while CSK got their hands on the trophy four times. Both teams also have a great rivalry as fans eagerly wait for the epic clash between these teams.

Both teams are set to lock horns on Saturday, April 8 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in the ongoing IPL 2023, however, ahead of that, CSK star allrounder Moeen Ali has claimed that MI vs CSK is one of the greatest matches in the game. He even compared the clash with the legendary football rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool.

“This is a game I really look forward to. These are the two most successful franchises and the fan following is huge and this is one of the biggest games you can play as a cricketer outside of international cricket. From football point of view, it is like Manchester United playing Liverpool. These are huge games,” Moeen Ali said.

Deepak Chahar will get better as the tournament goes on: Moeen Ali

CSK lost their first match of the season to Gujarat Titans but made a remarkable comeback in the second match against Lucknow Supergiants, defeating them by 12 runs. However, fast bowler Deepak Chahar looked dull against LSG as he conceded 55 runs and even went wicketless in his 4 overs quota. But, Moeen has backed the pacer and said that he is playing after a long time and will get better as the tournament goes on

“I think the only thing he (Deepak Chahar) is lacking is game time. He had a bad injury and is coming back after a long time. Unless you can bowl in a proper game which you need as a bowler, he will get better as the tournament goes on. He is a big bowler for us and when he gets it right he gets three or four wickets in the powerplay,” Ali said.
