In the final match of IPL 2023, against Chennai Super Kings, young Gujarat Titans (GT) batter Sai Sudarshan spoiled the condition of the CSK bowlers with his explosive batting. Sudarshan played an excellent inning of 96 runs off 47 balls, although he missed his century by just 4 runs. Due to this blistering knock of the 21-year-old, GT achieved a massive total of 214 after losing just 4 wickets in the final match against CSK in 20 overs which is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday, May 29.

Talking about the first innings, CSK captain MS Dhoni decided to bowl first after winning the toss but the decision proved wrong as GT openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha provided a brilliant start to GT in the powerplay as both batters stitched a 67-run stand for the first wicket in the powerplay. After Gill's departure, Saha smashed an outstanding half-century but was dismissed after scoring 54 runs off 39 balls. Sudarshan, who came to bat at no. 3, started hitting from the very first ball and scored runs at a strike rate of 204.26 which included 8 fours and 6 sixes.

Dhoni's strategies also did not work in front of Sudarshan as whatever bowler he put against the batter, everyone was beaten brutally. In the end, Sudharsan stitched an 81-run partnership with GT skipper Hardik Pandya which came off just 33 balls and helped the team achieve a monumental total. Meanwhile, CSK will now have to score 215 runs in 120 balls.

Although the pitch is looking helpful for the batters but it is not easy to achieve such a big target but it is not impossible to happen in the T20 format. On the other hand, if GT wants to win this match, then they will have to put pressure on CSK from the very beginning. Meanwhile talking about CSK's bowling performance, CSK's most successful pacer of the season Tushar Deshpande proved to be the most expensive bowler for the team.

Despande gave away 56 runs in four overs in which he did not get a single success. Apart from this, Matheesha Pathirana also leaked 44 runs and picked up 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja also got a breakthrough but also conceded 38 runs in four overs. Deepak Chahar also gave 38 runs in four while he did not get a single wicket and dropped an important catch of Gill in the 2nd over.
