David Warner has been one of the greatest openers across formats for Australia. The Southpaw played his final game against Pakistan. His form in the longest format of the game has been up and down over recent years, though he scored a hundred in the 1st Test during the test series he also decided to retire from the 50-over format as well. The 37-year-old has been an entertainer throughout his cricketing career.
Warner arrived at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) most dramatically as he came in a helicopter ahead of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023/24 encounter between the Sydney Thunder and the Sydney Sixers. He was at his brother's wedding in Hunter Valley on Friday, and he ensured that he was committed to playing for the Thunder, arriving in a helicopter just hours before the game.
Former Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar, the helicopter David Warner is seen taking a lap around the SCG before landing, with a few media and security staff on the ground waiting to greet the veteran opener. Then he was seen getting down from the helicopter in his training kit, waving at those who had gathered at the SCG to see him arrive, and then making his way to the dressing room.
