In the 70th game of the Indian Premier League 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted Gujarat Titans in their last league game. At the Chinnaswamy stadium in a do-or-die game, RCB were asked to bat first and Virat Kohli stood up to the expectations. Kohli, in his magnificent innings, scored a brilliant century and helped RCB to post a massive total of 197/5 in 20 overs.

Kohli, in his innings, scored unbeaten 101 runs off 61 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and a six. He added 67 runs for the first wicket with Faf du Plessis. Du Plessis, in his innings, scored 28 runs off 19 balls with the help of five boundaries. After his departure, RCB got in trouble as Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell failed to capitalise on the start.

However, Mitchell Bracewell and Anuj Rawat helped him to post the target. Bracewell, in his innings, scored 26 runs off 16 balls with the help of five boundaries, while Anuj in his unbeaten innings scored 23 runs off 15 balls with the help of a boundary and a six. Notably, for GT, Noor Ahmed clinched two wickets, while Mohmmad Shami, Rashid Khan and Yash Dayal clinched one each.

Will RCB qualify for the playoffs?

To qualify for the playoffs, Royal Challengers Bangalore need to defend the target and just win the game. On the other side, if they lose, they will be eliminated from the ongoing tournament. Gujarat Titans' victory will ensure Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians' qualification in the playoffs.

However, due to poor net run rate, Mumbai Indians will miss it out if RCB successfully defends the target in the Chinnaswamy. Notably, the match got started with a delay due to the interruptions from rain and fans will be praying it to stay away from the remaining game.
