Women's Premier League 2024: All you need to know about teams' retention list ahead of WPL 2024

Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 will be in its second season of the tournament. After the inaugural edition was over in March, all the franchises conducted their trials a few months before they finalised their retention list. The Gujarat Giants released 11 players. Delhi Capitals the runner-up of the inaugural edition, released the least number of players. 

However 60 players, including 21 overseas cricketers, were retained across five franchises, and 29 players were released from their respective squads. The big names were retained by their respective franchises. Annabel Sutherland and Megan Schutt have been released.

Gujarat Giants have retained, Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Dayalan Hemalatha, Harleen Deol, Laura Wolvaardt, Shabnam Shakil, Sneh Rana, and Tanuja Kanwer. They had a season to forget as they were at the bottom of the table.
