Virat Kohli has been the best white-ball cricketer of this generation. He has surpassed several records of the cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar. The batter had a dry spell in his career from 2019-2022 where he failed to score a single hundred in any format of the game. But the hundred against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup has regained his form and since then he never turned back and broke several records. In the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023, he was the highest run-scorer in the tournament.

Kohli scored 765 runs in 11 matches at an average of 95.62, hitting three centuries and six fifties during the tournament. The batter scored was the key to India's final qualification. The 35-year-old is also the player with the most number of centuries among active players. Veteran Aussie opener David Warner, dismissed the rumours over the future in white-ball cricket, he believes plenty more is left in his tank even as his Test cricket career is questionable.

The left-handed opener believes that Kohli has still more cricket left in him and play the 2031 World Cup as well with the fitness and love for the game he has. The former India skipper is one of the fittest athletes in the world right now.

No reason why he can’t: David Warner

Warner said, replying to a fan tweet, "No reason why he can’t, he is very fit and loves the game so much." During the mega event, Kohli surpassed Tendulkar's 49 ODI century record as the batter smashed the 50th ODI century in the semi-final against New Zealand. The batter is the closest to the former great's 100 international century record and he is the one who has the chance to break it as well. The 35-year-old batter also surpassed Sachin's 673 runs record in a single edition of the marquee tournament.

The star batter is currently on break and will be returning in action for only the Test series against South Africa as he has informed the Indian Cricket Board to give him a break for white-ball cricket.
