MS Dhoni is one of the finest captains for India and the only captain to win all three major trophies as a captain in his career. The 42-year-old is currently rehabbing from the knee surgery he had a few months back and planning to make himself fit ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The former India captain has been often seen vacationing and having a good time with family.

His teammate Deepak Chahar has talked fondly of skipper Dhoni and their friendship. Chahar joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2018 after playing sparingly for the Rising Pune Supergiants alongside Dhoni in 2016 and 2017. The bowler has since joined the franchise, captained by MS Dhoni. He was vital in CSK's title runs in 2018, 2021, and 2023, taking 37 wickets over the three seasons.

The 31-year-old has been Dhoni's most preferred bowler, particularly with the new ball, because of his ability to strike early in the powerplay. He has 72 wickets in his IPL career, with an average of 28.04 and an economy of under eight per over. The bowler's career has been shortened as he has not been able to play for the national side consistently due to injuries.

We have our fun moments: Deepak Chahar

Chahar said, "We have our fun moments. During lockdown, we played a lot of PUBG together. We played a lot of games together. We spent a lot of time together off the field. I've been lucky to learn so much from him. I would say because of him only I got a chance to play for India because, before that, he gave me a really big chance to play all 14 games in IPL. In 2018, I played all the 14 games."

"I personally think he has a lot to give to cricket. He can play for another 2-3 seasons. I have seen him bat in the nets. Obviously, he had an injury that anyone can have, people at 24 have that same injury that he has. He has recovered well. For me personally, he should play for another 2-3 years."
