Keshav Maharaj the South Africa spinner is known as a devotee of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, even going onto elaborate on the “Ram Siya Ram” song that was played during India’s tour of South Africa recently. On Sunday, Maharaj released a video message on social media wishing the Indian community in South Africa the best ahead of the Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate on Monday, 22 January.

At the same time, now people are giving best wishes for the consecration of the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya. The ceremonial inauguration of Ram Mandir is likely to take up most of the day tomorrow, with various celebrities and significant figures in attendance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will head Lord Ram's Pran Pratishtha. According to reports, approximately 6000 guests would attend the spectacular celebration at Ram Mandir. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, Anil Kumble, and Harmanpreet Kaur have all been invited to the event.

Maharaj said in the video, "Namaste everyone. I just want to wish my Indian community in South Africa for the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya tomorrow. May be there peace, harmony and spiritual enlightenment for all. Jai Shree Ram. For me, God’s been my greatest blessing and if I get an opportunity it’s the least I can do and it gets you in the zone and get that respect from other players." Previously in an interview, he said, "It was obviously something I put forward to the media lady and requested that song to be played."
Sporting icons like Vishwanathan Anand, PT Usha and Baichung Bhutia have also been invited to the landmark event.
