The match is set to be played at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. The wicket is known to be flat more often than not, particularly since the 2000s. The highest-ever run chase in ODIs to date was achieved at the same venue by SA against Australia in 2006. The pitch is likely to be similar to the game between India and South Africa. The batters are likely to enjoy batting at the venue. For the bowlers, the key would be to trust their process.

There would be some seam movement for the pacers which is almost obvious on any South African wicket. There would be pace on the wicket.
