It's been more than 3 years since MS Dhoni retired from international cricket but he continues to lead his IPL franchise successfully even after retiring. MS Dhoni is back after knee surgery
Although MS Dhoni didn't announce his retirement from the IPL and was mostly certain to have featured in this year's IPL as well there was still an element of doubt about Dhoni's participation because of his knees. MS Dhoni injured his knees in last year's IPL as was seen playing with an injured knee during the IPL.
Towards the end of last year, MS Dhoni underwent knee surgery which cast doubts over his comeback in IPL 2024 and MS Dhoni himself told in an interview recently that he is going through a rehabilitation programme and will see how it progresses. But seeing him practice now will have made it certain that MS Dhoni will continue to lead CSK in IPL 2024 as well which is great news for many Indian fans.
