WATCH: Rishabh Pant plays 'Golli' with kids in streets

India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant was seen playing 'Golli' with the neighboring kids. It is a game played with Marble and the India player said that he played the game for a long time. Notably, he has been out of the game since December 2022 as he met with an accident. This led to Pant missing out on the ODI World Cup 2023 and other series'.

Rishabh Pant coming back to the team is a huge addition for us: Sourav Ganguly

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals' Director of Cricket Operation, Sourav Ganguly has hinted at the comeback of the wicketkeeper batter in the team. The 2020 finalists will play their first game on March 23 against Punjab Kings. Ganguly said that even though Pant might not be available for wicketkeeping, the team has some more options with the gloves.

"Rishabh coming back fit is a huge addition for us. We hope he plays the full season because he is a very special player. We have worked on some domestic players who have done well in all formats. But Rishabh is very important," Ganguly told Times of India.

"He has done everything to get fit and that’s the reason NCA will clear him. Let Rishabh get cleared on Mar 5 only then we’ll talk about captaincy backups. We are taking a cautious approach with him because he has a very long career ahead of him. We don’t want to push him in excitement. We will see how Rishabh reacts. He will be joining the camp once NCA gives him the clearance. We will see match by match. We can’t predict," he added.
