Pakistan Cricket Team have landed in Australia for their tour on Friday. Shan Masood and his side will first face off against the Prime Minister’s XI starting on Wednesday in Canberra.

No welcoming party for the Pakistan Cricket Team –

Shan Masood led the Pakistan Cricket Team have landed in Australia on Friday morning. Social media fans were taken aback as the team had to take and load it to the trolley. It was unlike the welcome that the Pakistan Cricket Team had got in India ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

Meanwhile, upheavals in the Pakistani management continued as Salman Butt has made his return to the establishment. The 39-year-old Salman but was on Friday has been named as a consultant to the chief selector. Wahab Riaz was named the chief selector for Pakistan Cricket just a few weeks ago. Kamran Akmal and Rao Iftikhar Anjum are the other consultants along with Salman Butt.

Upon reaching Australia, test skipper Shan Masood was asked “Aapko qurbani ka bakra banaya jayega?.  Pakistan skipper replied “Firstly, we see it as an opportunity. When you haven't done something before in your history, then you have an opportunity to go out there and try to change it. So that's what we're trying to do, to get a positive result for Pakistan and in this World Test Championship

Shan Masood also said “And as far as Qurbani ka bakra is concerned, the captaincy, playing as a player in the side, these are all temporary things at the end of the day. As long as you are in that place or seat, you should relish the opportunity, enjoy it and try and take responsibility, and give your best for the team"

There is more good news for Shan Masood as his contract has upgraded from Category D to Category B. The PCB released a statement on the move which read “The PCB has decided to upgrade Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood's category in the central contract list from D to B. The decision has been made in line with board's policy that if a centrally contracted player below A or B categories is appointed captain, their contract shall be upgraded to category B for the tenure of their captaincy."
