Young India U-19 all-rounder Arshin Kulkarni attracted the eyeballs of cricket fans after he met the former legendary South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis. Arshin met Kallis just ahead of the men’s U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa, starting on Friday, January 19 2024.
Speaking of Arshin’s meeting with the former great all-rounder Kallis, the former was mesmerized after meeting with his cricketing idol. Later, the 18-year-old also touched the former Proteas legend’s feet in a sign of respect for him.
The video of the heart-whelming moment involving the Indian youngster alongside the former SA legend is also making rounds on social media within minutes of being shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, Arshin was in action for India U19 in the recently concluded Men’s U19 Tri-Nation Tournament in South Africa, where he impressed with his performances with the bat; he scored 111 runs in 2 innings of the two matches he played in the Tri-Nation tournament, with a brilliant average of 55.50, including one half-century. Apart from that, he also scalped two wickets in the match against the hosts South Africa.
Now, the Maharashtra-born young cricketer will feature for India U19 at the highest level of junior cricket, the Men’s U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. India U19 under the captaincy of star middle-order batter Uday Saharan will start their campaign against Bangladesh U19 at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
India U19 are placed with Bangladesh U19, alongside Ireland U19 and USA U19 in Group A of the tournament.
