Team India on Friday dominated the Super Six stages of the ODI under-19 World Cup with a massive win over Nepal. Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan scored centuries to help India score 297.
Saumy Pandey yet again struck with the ball to pick 4/29 and help India win the game. The Super Six stages have Nepal Under-19 along with New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Ireland in the same group as India.
It was India who won the toss and chose to bat first. Fast bowler Naman Tiwari was replaced by fellow pacer Aradhya Shukla. The rest of the team was the same as India wanted to continue their winning streak.
Team India dominates Nepal to register huge win –
Adarsh Singh and Arshin Kulkarni came out to bat versus Nepal during the Under-19 World Cup game on Friday. The openers put on 26 for the first wicket before Adarsh Singh was out for 21. Aakash Chand then got the wicket of Kulkarni to leave India at 62/3 as Priyanshu Moliya was out for 19.
This brought Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas together and the pair put their head down for a huge stand. 215 runs were added for the 4th wicket as both batters scored amazing centuries.
Skipper Uday Saharan scored 100 off 107 balls with 9 fours while Dhas scored 116 off 101 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes. Gulshan Jha was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal with 3/56.
Chasing 298 to win, Nepal began slowly as the Indian bowlers kept it tight. Deepak Bohara scored 22 while Arjun Kumar was out for 26. Saumy Pandey moved to second spot in the leading wicket-takers list.
The left-spinner picked 4/29 from ten overs with a maiden from his ten overs. Durgesh Gupta batting at number 11 top scored with 29 for Nepal as they lost the game by 132 runs.
