In a shocking incident, Indian pacer Deepak Chahar’s wife Jaya Bhardwaj has been duped of INR 10 lakh in a business deal. Reportedly, the pacer’s wife was cheated on in the name of the business. The fraud came to light after the pacer’s father registered a case at Hari Parvat police station in Agra.
According to the FIR, Jaya has given INR 10 lakhs to a former official of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. This money was given for some business deal on 7th October 2022. But when Jaya asked to return the money former official not only refused to do so but also threatened her to kill.
The fraud case has been filed against a sports company named Parikh Sports. Dhruv Parikh and Kamlesh Parikh owners of the Sports company are also named in FIR. It is also alleged that one of the accused was previously connected with Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Jaya and Chahar tied the knot last year in Agra. The love story of the couple made headlines in 2021 when the pacer proposed to Jaya during a match in Indian T20 League. The video of the proposal went viral on social media, when Chahar decided to pour his heart out in the stands on 7th October 2021.
“When I met you the first time I felt that you are the one and I was right. We have enjoyed every moment of our life together and I promise to keep you always happy like this. One of the best moments of my life. Everyone pls give your blessings to us,” Deepak Chahar wrote on Instagram after his wedding.

Last year, in Indian T20 League Chahar, was picked by the Chennai franchise at the whooping sum of INR 14 crore. However, he was ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury. Chahar then returned to the Indian team in August but his performance has been below par till now.
Chahar has played his last international match against Bangladesh in December 2022. In his last seven international matches, he has bearly managed to Pick only four wickets at a bowling average of 42.5.
