India has recently announced their 17-men squad for Asia Cup, on August 21, Monday. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and India's captain Rohit Sharma were also present at the press conference in New Delhi. There are a few names that have surprised the fans.

He along with Rohit Sharma held a joint press conference after the squad announcement. Both were answering questions about team selection and challenges faced by the Indian team. At the same time, in this press conference, a journalist reminded Agarkar about the match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup which is scheduled to be held at Kandy on September 2nd.

The journalist asked the chief selector of India's squad, "Are there any plans against fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf in the Asia Cup match against Pakistan?" The 45-year-old replied stating, "Virat will take care of them."

Virat Kohli has always performed superbly in India vs Pakistan matches. In the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, when India was reduced to 34/4. The former India captain once again stepped up for the Men in Blue and took past the target of 160 runs.

Asia Cup this time again will be played in the ODI format. The last time the Asia Cup was held in the ODI format was in 2018 when India won the title by defeating Bangladesh by 3 wickets in the final played in Dubai. India is the most successful team in the Asia Cup, having won the title 7 times so far.

With KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah back in the squad the Blues' will definitely be at full strength and would like to win the Asia Cup this time.
