Team India faced a humiliating defeat by a margin of nine wickets in the third of the four-match Test series against Australia. Following that defeat, India’s lead of 2-0 came to 2-1 in the four-match series. Although, India’s decision-making policies were under the scanner in the aftermath of the Indore match against Australia.
Meanwhile, skipper Rohit Sharma has come up with a big admission and a statement on star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja; Rohit made this statement regarding the DRS waste in Indore Test. Subsequently, the skipper also admitted the mistake couldn’t figure out the correct moment for taking DRS.
"Yes, we accept that we didn't make the right calls in the last game.
It's just the passion of the game - Rohit Sharma
"I understand, they're quite animated, it's just the passion of the game, but that's where my role comes in, to say bhai, relax a little, it's okay if it's at least ending up somewhere near the stumps, but this isn't even hitting the stumps, and some balls were even pitching outside
Apart from that, Rohit Sharma also went on to hit back at the statement of Ravi Shastri; in which the latter termed the Indian team ‘overconfident’.
"When you win two games, if the people outside feel that we are over-confident, it’s absolutely rubbish. You want to do your best in all four games, you don’t want to stop after just winning two games. It’s as simple as that," said Rohit Sharma in the pre-match press conference ahead of the fourth Test against Australia.
