Pakistan team is currently in Hyderabad for the World Cup and played their two warm-up matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium ahead of their opener against the Netherlands on October 6. Previously they were welcomed by the fans at the airport as well as outside the airport, in India after seven years. The entire airport was filled with supporters cheering the names of Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi along with other players.

The former World Champions have been one of the consistent sides in ODI cricket. They were the No.1 side for a long time and were replaced by their arch-rivals India. Skipper Babar Azam is currently the No.1 ODI batter and has been performing well in the warm-up matches. Pakistan lost both of their warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia respectively.

Hasan Ali made a comeback to the ODI squad for the World Cup. He replaced injured Naseem Shah in the squad who missed out on the marquee event due to a shoulder injury he picked in the Super 4 clash against India. He rates Hyderabadi Biryani better than Karachi Biryani. His partner Haris Rauf also rated the biriyani 20 out of 10.

We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow: Shadab Khan

After losing to Australia in their warm-up match. Stand-in captain Shadab Khan stated that Hyderabad's famous biryani is the cause of their loss. He also shed light on the positives from both the warm-up games saying, "Result is not important. We took a lot of positives."

"Our attitude was good, result not in our hands. I think our 11 is sorted, we just wanted to give time to the bench to show their skills. When you play against Australia and New Zealand, you get confidence. We got a little bit experience of conditions . We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow (laughs)."

The Men in Green is one of the favourites to win the World Cup keeping the Indian conditions in mind. A lot of experts and former players have predicted Pakistan as one of the semi-finalists for the World Cup.
