List A Cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (ODI) format, which includes One-Day Internationals and various domestic competitions as well. It also involves some international matches involving nations who have not yet achieved official ODI status.
List A is one of the three major forms of cricket recognized by the Cricket Governing Body. The first List-A match was played between Lancashire and Leicestershire in May 1963 in the preliminary round of the Gillette Cup. Each side batted for 65 overs and each bowler was restricted to bowling 15 overs.

4. England - 481/6 against Australia
England and Australia played a One-Day International game at Nottingham on June 19, 2018. England scored 481 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first innings and won the match by 243 runs. The top performers were Alex Hales, who scored 147 runs at a strike rate of almost 160 and Johnny Bairstow scored 139 runs at a strike rate of over 151.
3. Surrey - 496/4 against Gloucs
The third place involve the match between Surrey and Gloucs played at The Oval on April 29, 2007. Batting first, Surrey scored 496 runs with the loss of four wickets. Gloucs, while chasing a target of 497, were able to score only 239 runs. The top performers for Surrey were Ali Brown with 176 runs and James Benning with 152 runs.
2. England - 498/4 against the Netherlands:
At the second place comes the match between England and Netherlands which was played at Amstelveen on June 17, 2022. Batting first, England scored 498 runs with the loss of four wickets. The top performers for England were Jos Buttler with 162 runs and Dawid Malan with 125 runs.
1. Tamil Nadu - 506/2 against Arunachal Pradesh
Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh played against each other in Bangalore on November 21, 2022. Batting first, Tamil Nadu scored 506 runs for the loss of two wickets. Arunachal Pradesh, while chasing a target of 507, were able to score only 71 runs and thus, lost the game by 435 runs. The top performers for Tamil Nadu were Narayan Jagdeeshan with 277 runs and Sai Sudarshan with 154 runs.
