List A Cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (ODI) format, which includes One-Day Internationals and various domestic competitions as well. It also involves some international matches involving nations who have not yet achieved official ODI status.
List A is one of the three major forms of cricket recognized by the Cricket Governing Body. The first List-A match was played between Lancashire and Leicestershire in May 1963 in the preliminary round of the Gillette Cup. Each side batted for 65 overs and each bowler was restricted to bowling 15 overs.
