'He's thirsty' and blah, blah' - Michael Chandler reveals why he agreed to all Conor McGregor's demands before their fight

The no.5 ranked lightweight fighter said that this is the fight he and the world wanted for a long time in UFC.

Former UFC double champ Conor McGregor will be clashing against Michael Chandler. McGregor is also shooting for his movie these days and with that, he has also made a comeback in the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter as a coach. McGregor is out of action since July 2021, when he lost a trilogy clash against Dustin Poirier.

Meanwhile, Chandler who is also serving as a coach in TUF 31. He, recently, revealed why he agreed to all the demands of McGregor before the fight. The no.5 ranked lightweight fighter said that this is the fight he and the world wanted for a long time.

"You can't listen to people on social media. At some point, we're just competitors and we want to compete. I could care less if I had to somehow make 145 or I went all the way up to 185. At some point, this is the fight that I want, it's a fight that he wants, it's a fight that I think the world wants so any venue, any weight class, whenever."

Chandler appreciated McGregor and said that it will be great for him to fight against him as he is one of the biggest UFC stars. UFC president Dana White recently revealed what are the demands made by McGregor before agreeing to shoot for TUF 31.

"It's not because I want the fight by any means because obviously people could talk about the red panty night and they talk about, 'he'll do whatever, he's thirsty' and blah, blah, blah. It's like, no, I want battle grounds of epic proportions. The lights don't get any brighter and the stage does not get any bigger than fighting Conor McGregor.”

"Conor McGregor was going to coach this season of The Ultimate Fighter and he’s like, ‘yeah, I’ll do it, but I’m bringing two guys that I want to make it right onto the show.’ Then, of course, the f**king media , ‘oh, that’s not fair, and what happened to those guys?’ Shut the f**k up. We’ll take care of the guys that aren’t on it, and this is what Conor wants, we’ll give it to him."
