Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has smacked another T20 tonne to become only the second batter in the world to score 10 T20 tons. He achieved this unique feat during the Sri Lanka Premier League 2023. Babar scored 104 runs off 59 balls to help the Colombo Strikers beat the Galle Titans by seven wickets.

Earlier in the game, CLS skipper Niroshan Dickwella opted to bowl first. His decision didn't go well with the team, as the GLT openers added 79 runs for the first wicket. Lasith Croospulle scored 36 runs off 19 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Shevon Daniel scored 49 runs off 31 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. He fell just a run short of his well-deserved half-century.

After their departure, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert added 87 runs for the third wicket. Rajapaksa, in his innings, scored 31 runs off 31 balls with the help of two fours. While Seifert smocked an amazing half-century, scoring unbeaten 54 runs off 35 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes, Their amazing performance helped GLT post a competitive total of 188/3 in 20 overs.

Babar Azam single-handedly won the game for Colombo

Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam came to bat along with Pathum Nissanka. The opening pair added 111 runs for the first wicket while chasing 189 runs. Nissanka, in his innings, scored 54 runs off 40 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Meanwhile, Babar smocked his 10th T20 century, scoring 104 runs off 59 balls with the help of eight fours and five sixes. However, he failed to finish the game, as he was dismissed by Kasun Rajitha in the final over.

Apart from them, Mohammed Namaz also scored 14 runs off just eight balls. With these amazing performances, CLS won the game by seven wickets with one ball to spare. For GLT, spinner Tabraiz Shamsi took two wickets, while Rajitha got one. With this victory, Colombo is sitting third on the points table, having scored 4 points in four matches.
