As India is set to face arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup on September 2, fans and cricket pundits are still waiting for a final confirmation on India's playing XI. Going into the continental tournament, the Men In Blue haven't fielded their best playing XI in the last few games due to injuries and unavailability. However, this tournament will be India's final chance to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper and PCB chairman Ramiz Raja slammed the Indian team management for experimenting with their playing XI. Raja baulked at India head coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma for continuously tinkering with India's playing XI. On his YouTube channel, the 1992 World Cup winner said that India might be rusty due to irregular playing. He also believes that Pakistan has the upper hand and momentum against India.

"India might be a little rusty; they are still searching for the right combination. The one big reason for that is that even in the World Cup year, they haven't succeeded in producing a settled unit. I'm actually shocked that they are tinkering unnecessarily with a winning combination; they experiment with the batting order, and the focus moves to something else," said Raja on his official YouTube channel.

"This might benefit Pakistan", says Ramiz Raja

Further speaking about the impact of uncertainties over playing XI Raja, the former skipper said that doubts in the Indian camp might help Pakistan in the Asia Cup. He also said that one can name Pakistan's playing XI without even thinking about it, but India has to find their best combination in a competitive tournament. It's worth noting that India will start its campaign against Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele.

Raja said, "If you ask anyone about Pakistan's playing XI, he will tell you without much of a thought. But if you ask someone about India's XI, there are still doubts. And this might benefit Pakistan. In contrast to the uncertainties in the Indian camp, Pakistan is sitting comfortably at number one in the latest ODI rankings. Going into the World Cup with that confidence will boost their confidence.
