Virat Kohli has been the greatest ever cricketer of this generation. The former India captain has been the face of the cricketing fraternity over the years. He has a global fan base as well. The batter has been back in the T20I side after a gap of 14 months. During the 2nd T20I match against Afghanistan, a fan moment happened with the 35-year-old cricketer. One fan ran onto the pitch and hugged Kohli and the star batter made his day by embracing him too. The incident happened in the 18th over.

He was then taken away by the security officials. This caused a slight disruption in the match. Every time Kohli collected the ball near the boundary, the audience at Holkar Stadium gave him a huge applause. While no one has ever questioned Kohli's determination and passion with the bat, the former India skipper approached the game with a different perspective as India thrashed Afghanistan on a chilly night in Indore.

The fan has been detained for his actions and has been taken to the Tukoganj Police Station. A police officer stated that the individual was being interrogated and that additional action would be taken based on the results. The officer stated that he had a ticket to the match and entered the stadium through the Narendra Hirwani Gate. He accessed the ground after climbing the fence of the spectator gallery.
