India beat Afghanistan in the super over in the third and final T20I game on Wednesday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengluru. Before the game the Men in Blue were already leading and won the series 3-0. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. The side made three changes with Avesh Khan, Sanju Samson and Kuldeep Yadav got a game time in the dead rubber game against the Afghans. The hosts did not get the start they wanted as they lost their four batters inside the powerplay leading them to a score 22/4.
Then captain and Rinku Singh stitched a partnership of 190 runs off 100 deliveries. Rinku also scored his second T20I fifty and gave good support to his captaincy, as the both batters smashed 14 sixes among them and scored 103 runs in the last 5 overs. He also became the leading run getter as an Indian captain in the T20I history surpassing Virat Kohli's record of 1570 runs.
