However, ahead of the game, a hilarious challenge between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Axar Patel went viral on social media.

After thrashing Australia by 44 runs in the second game, India opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was tasked with giving a match report. Meanwhile, all-rounder Axar Patel interrupted him and asked him to finish it in 60 seconds while he distracted him. Their amazing bond and Axar's hilarious challenge went viral on social media, as fans were delighted to see their bromance.

In the game, Ruturaj Gaikwad played a magnificent innings as he scored 58 runs off 43 balls. Meanwhile, Axar Patel took a prized wicket from Aussie allrounder Glenn Maxwell and changed the momentum of the game in favour of the hosts. India restricted Australia to 191/9 in the 236-run chase. This team registered a 2-0 lead in the ongoing series.

Later, on Tuesday, India will face Matthew Wade-led Australia at Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati for the third game of the series.
