India defeated Australia in the 4th T20I series. They won the series 3-1, and the Men in Blue won the 14th consecutive T20I series in a row as they were last defeated in 2019. Both teams were playing with their second-string squad. Most of the players who were part of the ODI World Cup 2023 side were been given rest. Suryakumar Yadav led the side in the series. The fourth T20I match was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium, Raipur.
However, certain areas of the stadium have been without power. The reason for this is that unpaid electricity bills stretch back to 2009. The stadium has a 3.16 crore overdue payment, for which the energy connection was disconnected 5 years ago. During the game, the floodlights have been powered by a generator.
Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association had arranged for a generator to avoid face-off and for the match to go smoothly, the cost of which has been 1.4 crore INR. In the 2018 marathon, the fact that there was no power supply in the stadium was revealed, causing chaos among the people.
A temporary connection has been taken in the name of CSCS: Tarunesh Singh Parihar
According to Raipur Rural Circle in-charge Ashok Khandelwal, the Secretary Cricket Association has boosted the capacity of the stadium's temporary connection for the match to take place. The temporary connection has a capacity of 200 KV at the moment. An application to increase its capacity to 1000 KV has been approved, although work on it has yet to begin.
Tarunesh Singh Parihar, media coordinator for the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh, stated they are cautious about hosting international matches since it will be difficult. He stated that generators are used as an alternate option for large matches. Parihar said, "As far as the stadium lights are concerned, I don't know how much bill is outstanding but a temporary connection has been taken in the name of CSCS."
India's next assignment is South Africa they will be playing two tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are absent in the white-ball team.

Why BCCI thinks only Ahmedabad stadium 🏟️ represents India. Isn’t cricket board responsibility to take care of every stadium in the country or is it state cricket boards responsibility to?

There has to be some reason why the bill wasn't paid because BCCI spending 1.4 cr for just one day instead of paying 3.5 cr of dues is not justifiable.
And they blame the government for pollution.
