England take the lead

India vs England 1st Test Day 3 has been conlcuded with the visitors having a lead of 126 runs. The Men in Blue were three wickets away of the all out in the 3rd Day of the game. Ravindra Jadeja who was batting so well missed a well deserved hundred and was dismissed on the score of 87 and Axar Patel was the last wicket to fall as the all-rounder was back in the pavilion after scoring 44 off 100 deliveries.

Three India batters in the 80s, with none of them getting in the triple figure mark. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 80 and KL Rahul who played a knock of 86 runs. Ben Stokes's side after winning the toss elected to bat first openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley gave the visitors a strong start. Before the trio of the Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel came in play as they picked 8 wickets between them.

India after being bowled out for 436 runs and had a lead of 190 runs the English batters came all guns blazing. Though they lost wickets in quick intervals but Ollie Pope was the hero for the English Lions as the batter scored a brilliant hundred and is still there at the crease, with four wickets still left the visitors would like to add some more runs as well.

Ollie Pope lone warrior for England

Pope is currently batting on 148 runs and he was droppped by Axar at the score of 114 runs and England are 316/6 at the end of the Day's play and with Reehan Ahmed there on the crease he is unbeaten at the score of 16 off 31 runs. For the home side it has been a difficult day after dominating the first two days of the game.

Ashwin has picked two wickets, and Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers who bowled brilliantly as the pacer has picked two wickets from a pitch which has nothing to offer for the pacer. The Men in Blue will be looking to bundle out the visitors on Day 4 as soon as possible.
