India beat England in the 2nd Test by 106 runs. Rohit Sharma's side levelled the 5-match Test series after winning the game. The Three Lions lost 9 wickets on Day 4 while chasing a mammoth target of 399 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah were the stars for the side picking three wickets each. The visitors have shown their 'Bazball' intent despite the tough Indian conditions. Zak Crawley was the lone batter to score a fifty in the fourth innings.

Ben Stokes's side were bowled out for 292 runs while chasing the mammoth total. England began dominantly with an overnight score of 67/1 until Axar Patel returned 'nightwatchman' Rehan Ahmed for a team score of 95. The off-spinner struck again shortly after, dismissing first Test hero Ollie Pope and Joe Root, as England reached 154/4 just before lunch on day four.

Kuldeep Yadav then dismissed Crawley, who scored a magnificent 73. Jasprit Bumrah, who took six wickets in the first innings, then joined the party and dismissed Jonny Bairstow. Bumrah's wicket helped the game change in India's favour as the sides went to lunch with the hosts only four wickets away from victory.

Jaiswal stands tall in 2nd Test

In the second session, Skipper Stokes was caught short by Shreyas Iyer while attempting to take a quick single, therefore ending England's hopes of winning the match. Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley put up some resistance, scoring 55 runs for the ninth wicket, before Bumrah returned Foakes with a catch off his own bowling. England's last two wickets came cheaply, and India achieved a much-needed turnaround after losing the first Test.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden double-hundred in the 1st innings and helped the home side put up 396 runs on the board. The left-handed opener is currently the highest run-scorer in the series with one double hundred and an 80 under his belt. Crawley was the highest scorer for the side in the 1st innings scoring 76 runs other than him no batter has scored a single half-century in the 2nd Test.
