India lost the 1st Test against England and they will be looking for a fight back in the 2nd Test and would even love to win the series. The Men in Blue missed Virat Kohli in the first Test and will be missing him in the 2nd as well, he has been the star performer underpressure for the side across formats. Not only him they will also be missing the two stars for the side from the first Test KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja as they have picked respective injuries.

Former England captain has dropped a blunt remark about the capatincy of the home side in the longest format of the game. As he questioned Rohit Sharma's tactics and approach in the series opener in which back lashed the Indian team as they were handed a shocking loss. The home side is currently unbeaten in a test series since 2012/13 and England were the team that beat them at home.

The 35-year-old batter might be returning from the third test and help the side a bit as well. India lost a Test match at home for the first time, despite having a 100-plus lead in the first innings. Notably, no opposing team achieved more than 400 runs in their second innings of a Test match in India under Virat Kohli's leadership.

They miss Virat Kohli's captaincy: Michael Vaughan

Kohli decided to step down as India's Test captain after the country's 2022 tour of South Africa. It came as a surprise because the former captain had achieved remarkable success in red-ball cricket. Kohli lost only two home Tests out of 31 throughout his tenure, whilst Rohit has already lost two in seven matches.

Vaughan said on Club Prairie Fire show, "They miss Virat Kohli's captaincy massively in Test cricket. Under Virat's captaincy that week, India wouldn't have lost the game. Rohit is a legend and a great player. But I felt he just switched off completely." There were several questions of whether 'Bazball' will work in subcontinent but Ben Stokes's side have proved all that wrong after winning the first game.
