India vs England 2nd Test match is currently underway in Visakhapatnam. The Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat first, as they made three changes to the side, with Rajat Patidar making his debut for the side replacing injured KL Rahul. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the star for India in the 1st Test and he continued to show his form in the ongoing Test as well. The left-handed opener scored his second century and the first against England in the longest format of the game.

Jaiswal has been brilliant since his debut in West Indies as he scored a hundred on his debut scoring 171 runs in the game. He has scored 511 runs in the 6 games he has played so far with an average of 56.77, scoring two centuries with as many half-centuries. The Southpaw, in the first Test, scored 80 runs and missed a well-deserved century but he managed to make it in the 2nd one.

The 22-year-old has been in good form across formats for the side. He displayed solid batting against the English spinners and fended off a tough challenge from veteran pacer James Anderson. The Men in Blue went to a decent start scoring for 40 runs. Then Shubman Gill and the left-hander stitched some partnership before the former was dismissed.

India eye big total

Shreyas Iyer gave valuable support as he scored 27 of 59 balls he was dismissed as the ball kept low and Ben Foakes took a good catch behind the wicket. Jaiswal reached his century by hitting a six on 94 runs. He so far has smashed 15 fours and 3 sixes. Debutant Rajat Patidar is there on the crease with 22 runs and the former is on 125 runs as the hosts are nearing the 250-run mark.

With a good wicket to bat on, Jaiswal will be eyeing a double hundred and setting a mark for himself as well in the Indian Cricket circuit. India will like to score 400-450 runs in the wicket and will like to bat for two days.
