The three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand is going to start on January 18, 2023. The first match between the two teams will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Ahead of the first game, many Indian players including the Indian team's star cricketers Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Shardul Thakur, and Yuzvendra Chahal reached to meet South film star Junior NTR.
The picture of Indian players with Junior NTR is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Although many players including Indian captain Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli were not seen at the party. The players of the Indian team had earlier also reached the Padmanabhaswamy temple in Trivandrum before the last match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Kane Williamson is rested for the ODI series
The two sides will meet for the second time in as many months after a heavy rain-affected ODI series in New Zealand in December ended in a 1-0 New Zealand victory. Both teams have played plenty of cricket in between the series with India having won bilateral series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and New Zealand having played an ODI series against Pakistan.
With Kane Williamson and Tim Southee, both rested for the three matches in India, Tom Latham will step in as captain for New Zealand in the ODI format. There have also been significant injury problems for New Zealand. Adam Milne was withdrawn from their squad with a hamstring problem, and Matt Henry has also returned home with an abdominal strain. Blair Tickner has been added to the squad in place of Milne, while Doug Bracewell comes in for Henry.
