IPL Auction 2024 Retained & Released Players List, Remaining Purse for SRH

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are expected to find their glory days back as the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) champions. The Orange Army has been on a strong side but was considered as an underdog in the IPL. They are known for their strategic use of money and buying players who are young and yet to make a name in international cricket. 

Ahead of the 2024 IPL auction, the team has released some of the big names Harry Brook and Adil Rashid. They bought the English batter at a hefty amount of 13.75 crore INR but he failed to deliver for the side and scored only 190 runs. The team failed to qualify for the playoffs. SRH's thorough planning and selective releases might increase their resources, allowing them to restructure their squad ahead of the auction. They have good strength in their batting and have good all-rounders as well.

The franchise has traded Bengal spinner Shahbaz Ahmed from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in return for Mayank Dagar. With two overseas pacers in the side, they would love to add some in order to bolster their squad. The auction is set to take place on December 19 in Dubai. It is the first time that the auction will be held outside the country. They have always come up with a good plan in order to buy some big names in the auction as they have a lot of purses left in the bag SRH has 34 crore INR left.
