The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction is scheduled on December 19, Tuesday in Dubai. This is the first time that the auction will be taking place outside the country and there will be a live audience. This is the mini-auction and 1166 players were registered and 333 players have been shortlisted for the auction with with 214 being the Indians and 119 being the overseas. However, 77 maximum slots are available for all 10 teams and 30 of them are for the overseas cricketers. 

The previous edition finalist Gujarat Titans (GT) has the maximum amount of money left in their purse. They have traded their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians (MI) for an all-cash deal of 15 crore INR. Pandya was the headline in the retention window and after that, he was again slammed by the fans after being appointed as the captain of MI.
