Former Australia skipper Aaron Finch used to be troubled against inswinging deliveries during his career. This was first identified when he was cleaned up by Mohammed Shami in the latter's debut ODI game. Later on, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, one of India's main weapons with the ball at some point, exploited this a lot. During the ODI series between India and Australia in 2019 (two separate series), Kumar got Finch four times.

Apart from this, Finch got out to him twice in T20Is and once in IPL (2016). Meanwhile, currently, the two-time World Cup winner is currently retired from the game. On the other hand, Kumar is discarded from the Indian setup due to a string of poor performances. Recently, a fan asked Finch about his troubles against Kumar. The former cheekily replied.

Whoever takes ODI captaincy may lead Australia to 2023 ODI WC win: Aaron Finch

Meanwhile, ahead of the T20 World Cup last year, Finch announced his retirement from ODI cricket. He said "It has been a fantastic ride with some incredible memories," Finch said. "I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of some brilliant one-day sides. Equally, I have been blessed by all those I have played with and the many people behind the scenes.

"It is time now to give a new leader the best possible opportunity to prepare for and win the next World Cup. I thank all of those who have helped and supported my journey to this point."

"I could have tried to play the series against England, and that would have been a bit of a fairytale finishing at the MCG, but I think that's never been my style to be self-indulgent in any way," he said. "So it's important that whoever takes over the captaincy, and whoever opens the batting, is given the best opportunity to take the team forward and win the World Cup in 2023. I'm very comfortable and confident I would never have made it that far, just with my body as well as a bit of form."

Now, he is completely retired from international cricket, having given up on T20I cricket as well.
