It is a widely accepted fact that Virat Kohli is one of the greatest cricketers of all time. The Indian superstar has records that back him to be listed among the very best that the world of cricket has seen.

In terms of pure numbers, Kohli is second only to Sachin Tendulkar in India. All these records and his batting brilliance in the past put Kohli on the top. Not just cricket fans but even his peers claim Kohli to be one of the greatest. Pakistan's former captain Misbah-ul-Haq is one of many cricket pundits who have claimed that Virat Kohli is one of the best cricketers of all time.

In an interview to News24, Misbah said, "Virat Kohli is the number 1 cricket of this generation, he has dominated all formats."

Soon cricket fans from India, as well as Pakistan, took to Twitter to share their opinion on Misbah-ul-Haq's comments about the Indian cricketer. Many Indian fans however did not take Misbah's comments in a well manner. With WTC final's loss still fresh in everyone's memory, many cricket fans suggested that this kind of hero worship needs to stop among Indian fans.

Here's how Twitter reacted to Misbah Ul Haq's comments on Virat Kohli:ย

Misbah-ul-Haq had declined to compare Babar Azam and Virat Kohli earlier

Saying that Azam was just starting out, and that his career should be judged on the basis of that, Misbah said to paktv.tv, โ€œThere shouldnโ€™t be a comparison between the two. Kohli has played a lot of cricket, Babar is just starting. When Babar Azam will play the same amount of cricket, then you can make a comparison. Kohli has played more cricket, and no one can match him at the moment. Yes, Babar is a class player and he might achieve the same things as Kohli in the future, but at the moment, comparison between the two doesnโ€™t make sense because itโ€™s just a start for Babar.โ€
