According to media reports, after much discussion, the Indian Cricket Board and PCB have agreed to organize Asia Cup 2023 with a new plan. According to this plan, Pakistan will be given the right to host the 2023 Asia Cup, but the matches of the Indian team will be held in a neutral country instead of Pakistan.

It has not yet been decided as to which ground will host India's matches, but UAE, Oman, Sri Lanka, and England are likely to host five of India's matches in the Asia Cup. It also includes at least two matches between India and Pakistan.

India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group in the six-nation Asia Cup tournament to be held in September this year. Apart from these two, there will be a qualifier team in the group. At the same time, there will be Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan in the second group.

There can be 3 matches between India and Pakistan in Asia Cup

A total of 13 matches will be played in 13 days in the Asia Cup 2023. As per the format of the 2022 Asia Cup, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4 and the winners of the super 4 matches will meet in the final. Due to this, the fans may witness three matches between India and Pakistan.

The members of the ACC held several meetings regarding the holding of the Asia Cup outside Pakistan and now this proposal can be approved. The meeting was chaired by Najam Sethi, while the Indian Cricket Board team included its secretary Jay Shah and the Indian T20 League Governing Council chairman Arun Dhumal.

Due to poor political relations between India and Pakistan, the official cricket board in India is not ready to send its players there. Secretary Jai Shah had said this. After this, Pakistan warned to boycott the 50-over World Cup to be held in India this year and there was a lot of argument between both countries. Now the solution to this matter seems to be coming out.
