Pakistani wicketkeeper batter Umar Akmal has threatened to reveal the secrets of his senior teammates and former players and warned them to stop putting allegations on him and calling him ‘immature.’

The 32-year-old also added that he doesn’t want to reveal the things as it will hurt the families of the cricketers and may also ruin cricket in Pakistan. Akmal believes that the people of Pakistan will stop watching the game if he reveal the secrets of their favourite cricketers.

"Mostly cricketers say that I am not mature. And these cricketers are the ones who I played cricket with. They are my seniors and I really respect them," Akmal said in an interview in a Youtube Podcast.

“I want to tell through your show today that I have played a lot of cricket with those who talk a lot today. He is my senior and I should not force him to reveal his secrets. Should I expose them, they will lose respect. Please, don’t make allegations against any player unless you have proof,” he further added.

'When you make allegations, my family gets hurt too' - Akmal

Last year, an interview of Pakistani skipper Babar Azam with Inzamam-ul-Haq went viral where Babar claimed that one of his cousins once denied his request to lend him a pair of joggers during the early phase of his cricketing career.

Notably, Babar is the cousin of the famous Akmal brothers - Karman, Adnan and Umran, who have represented Pakistan at the International level. When the host clarified if Akmal was talking about active cricketers or former players, he responded, “The one I am talking about would know."

"I respect them a lot. It’s simple. They feel that since I am a junior, they can do as they please. I have a family too. When you make allegations, my family gets hurt too. If I end up making their secrets public, their family will get hurt too. I have kept quiet because Pakistan fans have been quite nice and they will stop watching cricket (if the secrets are revealed). This is not something I want."
