After the game, Aakash Chopra uploaded a post-match analysis video on his YouTube channel. In the video, he praised Rahane and opened up about his abilities in the shortest format of the game. Chopra said, "Devon Conway got out at the start but after that one-sided. Ajinkya Rahane - out-of-syllabus question. He knows every nook and corner of this ground. He came and hit, and that too in a very technically correct fashion. He said that it might be a 20-over match but 30-plus also do well in that."

Notably, before Rahane's innings Mumbai failed to capitalize on the quick start as their middle order failed to produce a run. They were opened up against the quality spin bowlers of CSK. Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner clinched five wickets together to restrict Mumbai to a below-par score. Players like Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Verma failed to tackle CSK in the middle overs.
