In the fourth T20I of the five-match series, West Indies and India took on each other in Florida, USA. While the home team, West Indies needed to win this game to take an unassailable lead, India needed to win to level the series. Meanwhile, in this game, the home team won the toss and elected to bat first on a small ground.

Despite Kyle Mayers (17 off seven balls) having a brisk start, it was ended by Arshdeep Singh in the second over. However, the likes of Shai Hope and Brandon King kept the innings going. The former did most of the heavy lifting and King (18) was removed by Singh. Right after the powerplay, Kuldeep Yadav took the wickets of in-form Nicholas Pooran and skipper Rovman Powell in the seventh over.

Hope scored 45 off 29 balls and put together 49 runs with Shimron Hetmyer. From 57/4, the team reached 106 runs before the innings went from 106/4 to 123/7 in no time. At this time, Hetmyer scored 61 off 39 to take the team to 178/8 to have some runs on the board.

India wiped down the target easily

In reply, the Men In Blue opener, Shubman Gill needed to get some runs under his belt. Since the World Test Championship final, he hasn't been ab;e to get runs. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made his Test debut during the Test series, was playing his second T20I.

They were looking to prove and the way they did was tremendous. They put together 66 runs in the powerplay. However, the tremendous bashing of their opposition didn't stop there. They maintained the run rate between 10 and 11 across the chase. Gill survives an lbw call as hawk eye suggested that the ball was missing the stumps in the 13th over.

Apart from that, the duo made sure that the middle order had to do almost nothing but complete the formality. Their partnership of 165 runs out of 179 runs required ended in the 16th over. Till then, India's win was inevitable with Gill getting 77 runs off 47 balls. On the other hand, Jaiswal ended up getting 84 runs and the team won the game by nine wickets and three overs to spare.
