The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator match of the Indian Premier League 2023. With this victory, MI has reached the second qualifier and will be facing the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT), who lost to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first qualifier and for this, the players of the team have left for Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social media in which Suryakumar Yadav can be seen pranking Tilak Varma. The video of Surya and Tilak's prank was posted by Mumbai Indians' official Twitter account which left the fans in splits. In the video, Tilak can be seen sleeping on the flight. Seeing this, Surya took a lemon and squeezed it inside his mouth. As soon as the taste of lemon came, Tilak's sleep broke and he started smiling and looking here and there. The people sitting around Tilak also started laughing. The franchisee wrote the caption with the video, "Chain se sona hai toh jaag jaao (If you want to sleep peacefully then wake up)".ย

Significantly, Mumbai has made a place in the second qualifier by defeating Lucknow in the Eliminator match by 81 runs and now the second qualifier between Mumbai and Gujarat will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match will be played on 26 May and the team that wins this match will reach the finals to face the four-time champions CSK in the final. However, MI skipper Rohit Sharma talked about the match in the post-match interview and said, "People did not expect us to do certain things but we've come out of all obstacles and managed our way through to get what we wanted. At the start of the season, we knew that we had a lot of work to do compared to what happened in the last season.ย
