In the 69th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. In the do-or-die game, MI batter Camron Green smashed a brilliant century while chasing 200 runs target. Green, in his innings, scored unbeaten 100 runs off 47 balls with the help of eight boundaries and as many sixes.

However, despite winning the game, Mumbai's chances to qualify for the playoffs depend upon the results of the RCB vs GT game. If GT beat RCB, then MI will directly qualify for the playoffs. Speaking about the same, MI skipper Rohit Sharma hilariously asked RCB to return them the favour and let them qualify for the playoffs.

Rohit Sharma said, "What you can control, you can control, and then hope for the best. I haven't spoken to anyone. If we don't go through, we've got ourselves to blame for it. If we go through, I'll give all the credit to the boys. That's how it works. Last year, we did a big favour to RCB, I hope we get the result that we are looking for."

In the post-match presentation, which could be his last of this season, Rohit recalled their crucial games against Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings which MI lost closely. Speaking about the same, Rohit said that they needed to play better. He said, "We did a lot of things right as we went along. We didn't start well and then won three on the trot. The crucial moments in the game that we lost - there were a lot - of moments like that."

"The game against Punjab here where we needed around 34 runs off 18 balls, we could have probably played well. And in the last game against LSG, we had the game in our hands after the first half of the innings. We can't look too much into that Sometimes it just doesn't come along", he further added. Meanwhile, the GT skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 70th match of IPL 2023.
