Lanka Premier League 2022: Find out where to watch season 3

As fans of Sri Lankan cricket waited with bated breath, their wait has finally come to an end as the dates for the third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 have been announced. The tournament was initially stated to be held in August but the hosting of the tournament had to be put on hold as Sri Lanka’s economy was in dire straits. The county had to deal with financial concerns as well. 

This meant that the Tournament will be held from December 6 to December 23. This will be the third edition of the tournament. There have been two editions that have been held so far. Like the previous editions, this will also be a five-team tournament. Out of five teams that have participated in the league, only one team has proven to be successful. The Jaffna side have won two consecutive titles.

Jaffna Stallions won the inaugural edition by beating the Galle Gladiators by 53 runs and then again won the second edition as well by beating the Gladiators by 23 runs. Danushka Gunathilaka is the highest run scorer with 702 runs from 20 matches at an average of 41.29. When it comes to the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, Wanindu Hasranaga heads the list with 28 wickets to his name in 20 matches with a stunning economy rate of 5.96 and an average of 15.60.

Where to watch the LPL 2022?

The Lanka Premier League will be telecasted on Sony Sports Network in India. When it comes to streaming it will be streamed on the Sony Liv app. The matches will start between 3:30 PM IST and 7:30 PM IST.  It can be watched in Sri Lanka on Ada Derana 24.
