The Indian T20 League is just a few days away as the 16th edition of the league is set to kick off on March 31. The fans are eagerly waiting for the much-awaited tournament and are expressing their excitement on social media as the tournament is set to be played in a home-away format this time.

Meanwhile, the Bangalore-based franchise who have one of the biggest fanbases in the world because of its star cricketers like former Indian captain Virat Kohli, South African star batter Faf du Plessis, Australian allrounder Glenn Maxwell and many more will hope to end their 15-year-long wait to get their hands on the Indian T20 League Trophy this year.

Bangalore have not won a single title in 15 years but their performance was pretty good as they are the only team who have won the most no. of matches in the last two seasons of the cash-rich league. They have continued their great performance as they are the only team to qualify for the playoffs in 2020,2021 and 2022 which definitely shows how promising their performance was.

Will Bangalore's fortune change this year?

Bangalore reached the playoffs last season but got knocked out in the eliminator match. Kohli wasn't in great touch last season as he was able to score only one fifty. However, considering his current form, the right-hander can be very dangerous for other teams in the upcoming season.

Kohli left his captaincy in the 14th edition of the league when Bangalore were defeated by the Rajasthan-based franchise in qualifier 2. After this, they bought du Plessis in the 2022 mega-auction and announced him as their captain. The star batter did a really good job last season taking his team to the eliminator stage.

Bangalore's squad is looking strong this season with the likes of some new additions especially Reece Topley and Michael Bracewell as they have done a great job for their national side in international cricket in recent years. The franchise are expecting the same performance from every new addition.
