Virender Sehwag is a man with many stories and we have often seen him tell some interesting tales from either his playing days or coaching days, or even from his time in the commentary box.  The former Indian opener was again on hand to share a story about Virat Kohli, the former captain of team India. This story by Sehwag was during his playing days with Kohli and when he had established himself well in the team.

While talking on the show of the famous BeerBiceps also known as Ranveer Ahluwalia, he recalled about the time he got angry at Virat Kohli during the match and told him that he needs to do better.

He narrated the incident and said that, “I actually felt quite sad when Virat Kohli once dropped a dolly off me at midwicket once. I would have probably got to some bowling milestone, but he ended up putting it down. I got so angry, probably far more than when I missed a triple century. I told him, "Come on man, you should have caught that."

Virendra Sehwag, apart from being the hard and aggressive opener, was a great part-time off-spinner as well. He has 96 ODI wickets to his name at the end of his career and was known for breaking partnerships at crucial junctures of the game.

The right-handed opener then spoke about how Virat Kohli has become the greatest and he has reached heights he thought he wouldn’t. Sehwag added, “No one ever doubted his talent, but I didn't believe that Kohli would reach the heights he has now. Others may have felt that way, but I didn't. Even when he smashed Lasith (Malinga) for fours in that match—I think we needed some 280 inside 40 overs—he scored a wonderful century. So we knew there was no lacking in talent and that he would score runs, but we didn't know that he would reach such legendary status and hit 70 to 75 centuries or score 25000 runs.”
