New Zealand left-handed opener Devon Conway smashed his 3rd ODI hundred during the final match of the three-match ODI series against India at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Conway raced to his century in just 71 deliveries to keep New Zealand alive in the chase of a monumental target of 386 runs.

During the 23rd over of the 2nd innings, which was bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, the left-hander reached to the milestone. Chahal dropped the ball a little quicker and fuller on leg-stump. Conway middled the slog sweep and sent it into the second tier. He was suffering from cramps but did extremely well to get to the feat with timely boundaries and singles in between.

Thunderous batting performance by India

The Kiwis needed a strong foundation at the top of the order or the asking rate could mount too much on them but Henry Nicholls and Conway didn’t let that happen and provided a fiery start to their chase. Earlier, India lost the toss and were asked to bat first. However, this decision of the Blackcaps proved wrong as the Indian batters set a huge target of 386 runs for the visitors. The bats of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya thundered a lot in Indore.

In the third ODI against New Zealand, India gave a target of 386 runs to the visiting team because of a strong batting display. Rohit and Gill scored a wonderful century. At the same time, Hardik Pandya played a stormy half-century innings. Batting first, India scored 385 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Having already won the 3-match ODI series, India is eyeing a clean sweep over New Zealand.

Rohit's wait of 3 years in Indore also ended. He scored a century in ODI cricket after a long wait. At the same time, Gill's bat breathed fire in Indore stadium as well. He scored the fourth century of his ODI career. Rohit and Gill gave a strong start to the Indian team who came out to bat first. Both stayed at the crease for 26.1 overs. There was a 212-run partnership between the two.
