Former Indian legendary skipper MS Dhoni is currently in red-hot form as he has already produced a couple of terrific performances in the Indian Premier League 2023 so far. Dhoni recently displayed a brilliant knock against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, April 12 but couldn’t take his team to the 3rd victory of the season.

Meanwhile, a 9-year-old tweet by Chennai Super Kings captain Dhoni is getting viral on social media. After Dhoni's tweet went viral, fans suddenly became active on social media and started making various comments. Dhoni made this tweet 9 years ago on March 24, 2014, in which he wrote, 'It doesn't matter which team will win, I am here for entertainment'.

The tweet made a reference to an El Classico game between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Dhoni was very active on Twitter throughout the game and sent out a number of messages in 2014. "Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. His first tweet began, "Interesting 105 mins ahead," and was followed by, "Barcelona all the way for Messi, may the best team win ". Dhoni then tweeted, "I am here for the enjoyment," indicating that he wasn't picking a favourite.

Brilliant bowling performance by RR

Talking about CSK’s clash against RR, Dhoni won the toss and invited the Royals to bat first at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. CSK started really well as they dismissed the dangerous left-hander Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second over of the innings. However, Jos Buttler and Devdutt Paddikal steadied the ship and stitched a brilliant 77-run stand for the 2nd wicket.

Buttler smashed his 3rd half-century of the season and with the help of a quickfire inning by Shimron Hetmyer in the end, RR managed to achieve a fighting total of 175 runs. Ravindra Jadeja bowled brilliantly for CSK as he picked up 2 wickets and conceded only 21 runs in 4 overs. Chasing the target, CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the 3rd over of the 2nd innings.

But Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane stitched a 50-run stand together, keeping the scoreboard ticking. However, the spinning trio of RR, Yuzvendra Chahal, R Aswhin, and Adam Zampa brought RR back into the game. In the end, CSK need 21 runs in the last over but Sandeep Sharma stopped Dhoni and Jadeja to get their 3rd win of the season.
