There has been a major update regarding the Mumbai-based franchise ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. The franchise has added a player from South Africa as confirmed by their head coach Mark Boucher. Although Boucher did not reveal the name of that player, he indicated that this player has been signed.

During the SA20 League, Boucher confirmed that the new signing for Mumbai is a South African. However, it is not yet known whether this player will play for Mumbai Indians or for any other franchise. Apart from this, there is also a possibility that this player will be used as a net bowler.

"Yes, always nice to have South African flavor. We got another one. I'm not going to tell his name now, but he's gonna be there, but the nice thing is that these guys are youngsters as well, and they are getting some good cricket time in."

"They are getting good cricket time in a good competition as we have seen so far. So it's going to be great working with Jansen and Brevis."
