'Abh toh qualification pakki'- Fans react as Pakistan beat New Zealand by 21 runs by DLS method in ODI World Cup 2023

Pakistan lost their opener Abdullah Shafique but Fakhar made sure they scored quickly as they had the DLS method in mind. Babar Azam played an anchoring role alongside the left-handed batter.

Pakistan beat New Zealand by 21 runs in the ODI World Cup 2023, in the DLS method at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Kane Williamson, the Black Caps' regular skipper, returned to the squad after missing the majority of the tournament due to a thumb injury sustained during a game against Bangladesh during the competition. They have a total of 401/6 in 50 overs against Babar Azam's side. 

Rachin Ravindra got another century in the event, continuing his incredible run. Will Young was dropped as Williamson returned to the squad, and the left-handed batter opened the innings against them. The 23-year-old batter and Devon Conway got the Kiwis off to a fantastic start, putting on a 68-run partnership. Then the partnership of Williamson and Rachin built a partnership of 180 runs. 

The Pakistan pacers were smacked all around the park as the 23-year-old made his third century in the event and became the first Kiwi batter to achieve so. He has been in great form but Fakhar Zaman's explosive innings left the Kiwi helpless and lost their fourth match in a row.

Rachin Ravindra was back in the dugout after 108 runs off 94 deliveries, including 15 fours and one six. As a U-25 hitter, the batter is tied for the most runs with the great Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar scored 523 runs in 1996, and the southpaw has 523 runs with one game remaining in the group stage. On his return, Williamson fell five runs short of his century. He played a brilliant knock of 95 runs off 79 balls hitting 10 fours and two sixes. The batter has been struggling with injuries but his team has performed well in the tournament and a win against the Asian Giants.

The Southpaw was unbeaten at 126 runs off 81 balls hitting, 8 fours and 11 sixes. The skipper on the other hand scored 66 runs off 63 balls.
