India veteran pacer Jasprit Bumrah was seen imitating Manchester United star Marcus Rashford's iconic celebration after dismissing the Afghan opener Ibrahim Zadran. He had the batter caught behind with KL Rahul taking the catch. Bumrah's celebration quickly went viral on social media.

The English forward has made the celebration famous worldwide. Bumrah has been in sensational form since his return from injury. He won the Man of the Series award with the bowler performed superbly in the Asia Cup 2023 as well. Zadran was dismissed for a 28-ball 22 off the fourth ball of the seventh over.

After Zadran was dismissed 22 runs off  28 balls, the Afghan batters found it difficult to score runs and were 63/3 at one stage. The pacer was recently blessed with a baby boy during the Asia Cup tournament. Bumrah was asked about the celebration in the post-match conference.

Nothing like that. I just felt like it, so I did it: Jasprit Bumrah

Burmah said, "Nothing like that. I just felt like it, so I did it." The 29-year-old was also asked for his views about the fans losing interest in ODI cricket he replied saying, "That depends on the interest because maybe the longer game is sometimes difficult for people to watch and keep a tab on. But at the end of the day, I come from a generation which loves cricket. I watched Test Match and that was my favorite format. So, I probably would not be able to relate to that because I love watching the game. I love watching the longest format of the game. So yeah, probably you'll have to ask a person who's a little younger than me."

He further said, about playing in Delhi in the afternoon, "We played a few games in the afternoon. Out of all the afternoon venues, today was actually not too bad. It was a little breezy; it was not very, very hot. So, I would take this day in terms of weather for sure.'
